To
get to the beach, you first have to cross this little estuary. There is a bridge
across the entire thing, and it's nice to just sit on one of the built in benches
and watch all the wading birds. We saw a heron while we were here as well. |
| I
had to catch a picture of these guys. It's 3 pelicans swimming almost swan style.
Who knew something with such a big beak could be so cool looking? |

Once
you cross the lake, most of the path to the beach is a boardwalk through the
dune preserves. A lot of the plants were actually blossoming which made the
walk that much nicer. |
| Here's
a look back at the path we've walked so far as it snakes it's way through the
dunes covered with plants. |

My
favorite part of Oso Flaco is where the river runs past the dunes and finally
into the ocean. It's always beautiful there! |
| So
beautiful in fact, that I had to take multiple pictures of it. |

And
of course, another one. This is my favorite of the batch. After this we sat
on the beach and watched the waves roll in until it was time to go home. |
