Never one to jump the gun, we made sure to get our tree up at least a couple days before we had to leave for vacation. Just enough time for me to take a couple of pictures. We ended up buying a new tree this year (we have artificial trees, sorry). The 6.5' tree we put in the master bedroom, whereas the brand new 10 FOOT tree we put in our living room. Thank goodness for vaulted ceilings. We only had enough lights to decorate the front of the 10' tree. Oops.
